Sevan Marine ASA

Sevan Marine ASA is specializing in building, owning and operating floating units for offshore applications. The Company has developed a cylinder shaped floater, suitable in all offshore environments. Presently Sevan Marine has four floating production, storage and offloading units (FPSOs) and three drilling units contracted to clients. The Company is also developing other application types for its cylindrical Sevan hull, including floating LNG production and power plants with CO2 capture.
The SSP Driller is a drilling vessel designed for operation in ultra deep waters. The maximum operating water depth is 10,000 ft.  Operations in water depths less than 500 meters may be conducted based on special analysis of environmental criteria and adjustment of operational procedures/limits.

The vessel is equipped with a total of 8 thrusters configured in accordance with DP 3 class requirements.
The drilling equipment comprises a derrick with a 1000 S.tons hook load with an active and passive crown block compensation system. The derrick is arranged for simultaneous drilling and building of drill string or casing stands. Quadruple stands of drill pipe and triple casing stands may be stored in the setback racking area within the Derrick.
Large diameter casings (i.e. 30” and 20”) are built in sections in separate casing building position below drill floor in parallel with top-hole drilling operation.

The BOP is pressure rated for 15,000 psi. The choke and kill manifold is rated to the same 15,000 psi pressure rating. The mud standpipe manifold is rated to 7,500 psi.

10,000 ft of riser can be stored on board. Ample space is allocated for all drilling consumables and the vessel is prepared for well testing with the possibility to store the produced fluids.

The vessel may provide storage for ab. 150,000 bbl of crude oil and space allocated for later installation of an offloading system.
