QHSE OVERVIEW

PIER Offshore Management Services (POMS) operates under a fully integrated QHSE Management System covering all POMS’ activities both on- and offshore, applying the principles of both ISO 9000, 14000 and 18000 and the ISM/ISPS Code for overall QHSE management during all the various stages of our activities.

POMS values the fact that health, safety, environmental protection and quality must be an integral part of all our activities and not a separate issue. Our QHSE performance is a key element in all our work with respect to our employees, our Clients and towards the Authorities. This cannot be achieved by chance but as a result of determined planning, monitoring, auditing and documentation, thereby infusing HSE- and quality aspects into all services rendered. All our activities shall be performed through careful planning and execution so that the risk of accidents, injuries, illness, damage, environmental pollution or operative interruptions is as low as reasonably practicable. Consequently, PIER Offshore Management Services (POMS) has one management system covering all aspects of our activities rather than separate Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, ISM System and QA System.

In order to support the overall philosophy of operations under a fully integrated management system, POMS has adopted the following QHSE Management System model for setting and implementing our company QHSE policies and objectives in line with our corporate Key Values as illustrated below:

Recruitment status:

Recruitment of personnel to the former Skeie (now Rowan) units is being postponed. Rig no. 1 (Rowan Viking) will be operating in UK waters for 19 months. Rig no. 2 (Rowan Stavanger) will operate in UK from 1st May to 1st November, after which it is very likely to move to Norway for operations there. Hence there will be no mass recruitment until later in 2011. See news letters below for updates. Such letters will be sent to our existing applicants for updates.

We have closed for new applicants. Applicants who are already in our system can update their applications as needed and will be kept updated via newletters on when we will start recruitment. You may at any time notify us if you want to be removed from our database.
