QHSE RESPONSIBILITY

QHSE is a line management responsibility in POMS requiring the active participation from all levels of management, supervision and workers.
Company employees at all levels are responsible to their management for the execution of our QHSE policies within their sphere of operations, and for reporting on the effectiveness of steps taken to achieve policy objectives.
 
All activities within Company shall be performed in a safe and environmentally secure way, by each employee having to:
 
 Perform all their work safely for themselves and their co-workers, in full compliance with governing procedures as relevant;
 Incorporate appropriate QHSE requirements in all relevant documents (plans, procedures, instructions, etc.) and orders issued by them;
 Evaluate if working instructions, orders, etc. received from others can be safely executed and stop work if not safe;
 Promptly report unsafe practices to responsible personnel within the organisation; and actively participate in Company’s pro-active QHSE work.

In order to effectively assist in managing and communicating the detailed QHSE principles and processes within the company, a defined QHSE Support Organization has been established in line with the functional principles illustrated below:

Recruitment status:

Recruitment of personnel to the former Skeie (now Rowan) units is being postponed. Rig no. 1 (Rowan Viking) will be operating in UK waters for 19 months. Rig no. 2 (Rowan Stavanger) will operate in UK from 1st May to 1st November, after which it is very likely to move to Norway for operations there. Hence there will be no mass recruitment until later in 2011. See news letters below for updates. Such letters will be sent to our existing applicants for updates.

 

We have closed for new applicants. Applicants who are already in our system can update their applications as needed and will be kept updated via newletters on when we will start recruitment. You may at any time notify us if you want to be removed from our database.
